Project Mu Bestop “Entry Level” Brake Pads for RX-8

Project Mu’s Bestop pad is designed as an improved replacement over genuine OEM road pad.
It has better temperature and friction capabilities than standard OEM pads, but the same low noise & dust characteristics. Something that is important to many of our customers.

Use Project Mu’s BestStop compound pads if you cruise and have the occasional spirited drive.
Please note these are not a fast road/track pad, if your going to be pushing your car on a regular basis we recommend looking for a more performance based set of pads.

Pricing is comparable with OEM replacements and performance is improved making this pad a ‘no brainer’ for your street car.

Project Mu SCR Pure Plus 6 Brake Discs (Non Paint Coated) for RX-8

These are Project Mu’s Base level brake discs offering a great upgrade over stock discs with improved performance. These are made to the a similer spec as Project Mu’s 2 piece rotors, but have been made in a 1 piece design to make them more affordable.

Designed as an stock replacement there is no modification requires to install these discs on your car.
These are the non painted version for those that are upgrading on a budget.

The round slits have a greater cleaning effect than their straight counterparts, and improve initial braking. Highly recommended for those that mainly do on-street “sport” driving.

Street driving conditions can vary widely. A street pad may need to operate at a variety of temperatures and speeds, Thus, variable braking force is needed. Our SS-Y compound has always focused on improved initial bite and swift fade recovery on the street. The ever-growing popularity of the SS-Y compound is due to its constant development. A great street pad with excellent initial bite that holds constant as the pads wear.

Endless ME20 “Track” Brake Pads for RX-8

ME20 is a semi-metallic compound, developed for racing and rally. It is a step up initial bite and is more “straight-forward” with regards to brake power. Originally developed for BTCC Super Touring cars where you have high traction afforded by suspension setup and tire compounds. The pedal feel and brake power is excellent and equal across the speed range with an easy modulation in all instances. With ME20 it is possible to perform very hard and late braking into corners. As with the friction and bite the ME20 is a step up in heat resistance compared to the ME22 and it has shown a very good stable brake performance at high disc temperatures over 650 °C. The wear characteristics of both pads and discs are low, and for cold weather and wet conditions it retains the same excellent resistance to water fade.

MX72 is the ultimate street ceramic-carbon-metallic compound developed for extreme speeds and power. MX72 is our latest development with lots of technology and effort in it to cope the demands of a extreme street compound. It is suited for use in a power brake system with or without ABS and EPS. The MX72 is a high heat resistance compound which can also be used for circuit racing, like a sports car club race day so there is no need to change pads for such an event. The initial bite and response is excellent even at very high speed like 250-300 km/h and so also the pedal feel and brake balance.

Comma DOT5.1 High Performance Brake Fluid 1L

Fully synthetic high boiling point brake fluid that is fully compatible with DOT3 and DOT4 Brake fluids recommended by Mazda.

DOT5.1 Brake fluid has a much higher boiling point then both DOT3 and DOT4 fluids making it an excellent alternative when renewing your brake and clutch fluid. as well as being very affordable when compared to many other high performance “race spec” fluids
We have been using this brake fluid in our own cars for many years with no issue even on long stints on track or drives through mountain passes where a lot of braking is required.

1 bottle should be sufficient to renew your brake system, however 2 bottles are usually recommended if your changing from a different fluid such as DOT3 or DOT4.
