The Power FC proudly stands as Apexi’s answer to the constraints and limitations associated with most piggy-back style fuel controllers. The Power FC is a complete, stand alone, total engine management system capable of handling virtually anything thrown in its path. From multiple point fuel and ignition control to boost settings, the Power FC is capable of accommodating even the most demanding performance enthusiasts.
The Power FC replaces the factory ECU and controls all vital engine parameters (Off road use only, no OBD-II). Installation is as easy as replacing the factory ECU. The factory engine harness does not need to be replaced and all critical accessories such as air conditioning continue to function. By using the optional FC COMMANDER, the user can adjust and modify a wide range of settings. Since there is no need to upgrade ROM chips or modify ECU’s, the factory ECU can be kept by the original user. The Power FC also comes pre-programmed with several base maps. (Currently with Japan Domestic Market Vehicle Maps. Minor initial tuning may be required. This makes the initial tuning process much quicker. As with all other fuel controllers, the POWER FC should be tuned on a dynomometer by a trained professional. A high grade air/ fuel ratio monitor is also recommended during tuning to ensure best results.

The Apex Down Pipe is the pipe on turbo vehicles that connects the turbine exhaust housing to the catalytic converter. Although short in length, the Apex downpipes provide incredible amounts of power because the piping diameter is enlarged so early on the exhaust system. This enlargement in diameter results in a dramatic increase in exhaust flow capacity as well as a significant reduction of back pressure. The GT spec Down Pipes are constructed of fully polished SUS 304 stainless steel. The N1 Down Pipes come with our trademark black powder coated mild steel pipes.

The N1 Dual is a hybrid variation of the N1 exhaust. This system incorporates a twin pipe, twin canister design for improved mid-range torque without sacrificing top end power. The twin piping is constructed of mild steel with a titanium particle coating mated to SUS 304 polished stainless steel canisters. Each canister features a polished 90mm (3.54 inch) tip. Robotic TIG welds compliment the hand crafted MIG welds to create on of the most innovative and dynamic exhaust systems on the market.
The Power Intake is the premier air filter designed to create pure horsepower. The intake funnels used in racing machines take advantage of a characteristic where air travels along the side of the side of surfaces. However, the center portion of the funnel is virtually unused. It is this concept that gave birth to the Dual Funnel design. A primary funnel on the top portion of the air cleaner was inserted to channel the air flow directly into the lower funnels at the base of the cleaner. This design was a huge success on the former Super Intake model. The Power Intake took this design and improved the flow characteristics. New funnel design, element material and air flow channeling characteristics make the Power Intake one of the most efficient air cleaners on the market today. By constructing the upper and lower funnel from a highly durable injected resin, engineers were able to construct the ideal shaped funnel previously not possible with the stainless steel material. Funnel shapes focused on increasing air speed without changing the flow direction of the intake air. The result is a high speed and smooth flow of air into the intake. The lower funnel has been engineered at a 14 degree curve for maximum efficiency. Also, the lower funnel position has been made even closer to the base of the cleaner to reduce drag and eliminate any _dead spotsb within the cleaner.
The Power Intake incorporates a newly developed material (layer filter of dry density fibers) which improves the element density. This allows maximum protection from foreign materials entering the engine. Compared with past model, the Power Intake has also succeeded in decreasing its ventilation resistance by about 10% (pressure loss) for maximum performance and protection. The Power Intake is dry-type filter and is trouble free. Some of the problems associated with wet type cleaners, such as oil sticking to the air flow meter, are a thing of the past. The Power Intake is basically maintenance free. Filter replacement, when necessary, can be done at a very low cost.

Genuine Mazda Rotor Bearings
These are the standard rotor bearings for 12a and Early 13b’s including the RX-7 FB/SA22c and FC3s
Please note these are the most common size however we are able to offer an oversized option for the Fc3s if required

This is a set of Genuine Mazda “windowed” stationary gear bearings commonly found in the high power 6 port (231ps/250ps) RX-8 and RX-7 FD3s
These are a multi window design to promote superior oil flow when co pared to the earlier versions found in the FC3s and Automatic RX-8
This set is the most common size for use when rebuilding your engine or simply replacing your old worn bearings when you remove your engine.
The part number for this bearing ends in “E04″ giving the greatest clearance other then Mazda Factory Race Bearings.

So you have found some nasty white/yellow gunk in your dipstick or oil filler cap? By now your probably panicking it’s something terrible. If you know anything about conventional piston engines your probably terrified of the repair bill, you do own a rotary after all.
It can make reading the oil level a real pain.
Dipper your oil and found this? Your not alone.
But fear not this is another “quirk” of the rotary engine, most common in the RX-8 however it Han often happen with earlier RX models too.
In 99% of cases this is simply caused by a build up of moisture in the oil found in the engine. Usually common in the colder winter months it’s nothing to worry about.
The Solution?
While we recommend regular oil changes for maintenance purposes, in the case of “Mayo on the dipstick” it can certainly help. However on a regular basis look to take your car out for a good drive, once the engine is warm give it a good blast to get the engine and its oil nice and hot (not dangerously hot mind) this should help evaporate some of this moisture out of the oil and make checking your oil level a lot easier.

The original mounts are known to fail, especially right hand side, due to the heat radiated from the exhaust manifold located so close to the mount.
Symptoms of failed engine mounts can include (but not limited to;
Excessive vibration at idle

Vibration felt inside the cabin
