Adaptronic Modular ECU eMod012 for S8 RX-7 FD3s

This product is one of Adaptonic’s plug-in ECUs. Also called RX7 S8 or FD Twin Turbo JDM.

Please note that this ECU will work with Some S7 FD’s depending on the ECU connector style, if your not sure please send us a picture so we can help identify your specific requirements.

Our main objective in creating the Adaptronic Modular ECU line is to work towards Adaptronic’s mission which is to give people control. In doing this, we came up with a system which would give people greater flexibility and at the same time, overcome the limitations of our main product line, the Select ECUs.

eM0d012 ECU plugs directly into the factory loom, with additional inputs and outputs available on unused pins in the factory connector. The additional pins you have access to give you the following options:

      • Additional ignition output for conversion to direct fire

This is the standard stuff that we normally use on our services, offering a higher viscosity than the recommended oil, 15w40 will help protect the inside of your engine better especially the stationary gear bearings (a key weak point on the RX-8 when using 5w30)

This oil is supplied in a 5 liter can and should be enough for a oil change plug 1-1.5 liters spare for top ups.

We recommend 3000-6000mile (or 6 months) oil changes to keep your oil as clean as possible.

Evans Prep Fluid 5 Litres

Evans Prep Fluid MUST be used before Evans coolant is installed in your cooling system for the first time, when converting from traditional coolant.

Evans Prep Fluid is specifically formulated to hygroscopically absorb any water-based coolant remaining in the cooling system after initial drain. Because certain parts of the cooling system might not drain out with gravity, and it would take too long to disconnect every pipe etc., installing a scavenging fluid is the most practical method of removing all the water-based coolant.

TRUST GReddy High Capacity Diff Cover for RX-7 FD3s

Add an extra 1 litre of oil to your FD’s differentials capacity.
Increasing the capacity of your differential is something that is quite often overlooked on a performance car. Though the stock Diff holds around 1.4 litres of oil incresing its capacity can aid cooling of everything back there and prolong the life of your expensive aftermarket Diff if fitted.

A great upgrade for those looking to take their car on track. GReddy have taken this in to account by adding internal oil baffles in to the casting to reduce oil slosh under hard cornering.

GReddy have also included two 3/8pt (not 3/8npt) ports in the the casing design to allow for easy installation of a differential oil cooler (if your going that extreme) or an oil temperature sensor (yes they have literally thought of everything when designing this diff cover)

Made from cast aluminium, this cover increases the diffs oil capacity by around 1 Liter, and comes with a high power magnetic drain bolt to help keep all that new oil clean and free from debris.

This Diff cover is compatible with all model years of the Rx-7 FD

Air suspension Deluxe system improves on the Basic kit by adding several upgrades. One Air Zenith compressors are included which fill the tank twice as fast as the Basic kit. We include two electronic switches (front/rear and up/down) which offer more precise control over manual paddle valves and thanks to our seamless installation system, all the electronics are housed in a stylish red and black control box. High Performance KSport Shock Absorbers
Every air kit comes with the same quality shocks that are standard in our control Pro coilover systems. Air kit shocks have a different internal valving setting to accommodate changes in PSI.

Adjustable Lower Mount
Adding further fine tuning of your ride height at any PSI setting you chose is the ability to have an adjustable lower mount just like our coilover kits. The benefit to this is being able to get the perfect ride height at basically any PSI you are comfortable driving at

6 Way Adjustable Damping

Air Suspension K-sport Basic system is for people who want a complete bare bones direct bolt in air suspension system. This system features a manual paddle valve system with basic front and rear up/down operation from the switch panel that is included. A 200 PSI dual needle gauge is mounted right next to the switches so you can easily see where your air pressure is at all times. Water/methanol injection for gas engines is a proven means for effectively reducing engine inlet air temperatures and suppressing harmful detonation on forced induction and high performance naturally aspirated race engines. This allows racers to reliably increase boost and advance ignition timing—without using high-octane racing fuel—for power gains of up to 20%. AEM’s Water/Methanol Injection Systems utilize the most robust hardware combined with more advanced features than any other comparably priced water/methanol system.

The on-demand progressive controller in AEM’s Boost Dependent PN30-3300 Water/Methanol Injection kit bases injection flow on manifold pressure using an on-board MAP sensor (up to 35 PSI of boost) to ensure the proper amount of water/methanol injection at all points along an engine’s power curve.

AEM’s engineers spent extensive time developing the controller’s flow control strategy for a more linear flow output delivery. This means that the flow delivery better matches an engine’s need for water/methanol injection, which further optimizes charge air cooling and detonation control.

The new controller design features large, turn-resistant knobs and larger numbering to easily set accurate start and full activation points, with covered status LED and test buttons for added splash resistance. A plug is integrated into the controller housing for mating to the redesigned wiring harness’s positive-lock connector. The Boost Dependent controller housing has a molded-in, barbed nipple to accept a boost hose and a wiring legend on the back, integrated fuse and molded mounting tabs.

AEM’s Boost Dependent Water/Methanol Injection kit’s wiring harness is terminated with a positive-lock connector on one end and has color-coded wires to ease installation. Both the power and ground wires for the pump are included in the harness which simplifies the wiring process and eliminates any chance of the pump accidentally activating from a short in the system. An additional wire is included for adding an optional on/off solenoid to stop fluid flow when the system is inactive.

AEM’s Boost Dependent, PN 30-3300 gasoline Water/Methanol Injection System’s compact 1 gallon tank includes a high tech conductive low fluid level indicator with a positive lock connector and color matched wires to the wiring harness.

Pineapple Racing Heavy Duty (HD) Water Seal Kit for RX-7 FD3s 13b REW

This is Pineapple Racing’s exclusive Heavy Duty Water Seal kit. Pineapple Racing tested these seals for over 7 years in numerous street and track cars before offering them to our customers. They have proven to be a significant upgrade over the stock water seals. Pineapple Racing use them in all their 5-year warranty motors.
Also, these seals are re-usable if you need to reopen the motor to freshen it, as long as the mileage is not too high or the engine too overheated. In other words, if you make a mistake and blow up your engine or perhaps improperly clearance the seals or whatever, these seals can be removed, allowed to “rest” for about 30 minutes and be reused when you put the engine back together. Stock water seals must be disposed of when freshening an engine, even with just a couple heat cycles.

Pineapple Racing Solid Dowel Pins provide an easy, cost effective aid to hp and “ping” loads causing plate cracking or engine damage from loss of clearance from engine flex. Our super strong proprietary material has been meticulously machined to provide what we feel are the most accurate and consistently machined solid dowel pins on the market. The O.D. is accurate to 50 millionth’s! That’s 0.00005”. We “lightly” tapped one end for use with a Dowel Pin Puller.

Replace just the lower dowel pins helps to insure your engine’s centerline remains true. It is a great update requiring no machining.

Replace both lower and upper dowel pins for the maximum improvement. Replacing the upper dowel pins requires the installation of an external oil feed line to the front main oil galley to replace the OEM galley in the OEM dowel pins. Our Oil Pedestal Adapter kit makes this a simple job that can be done with simple hand tools and an electric drill.

High horsepower and the shock loads from “ping” put a tremendous load against the rotor housings. The load deflects the rotor housings outwards, pushing the dowel pin with them. The dowel pins are retained by their fit into the cast iron plates. If the loads are too high, the upper dowel pin can cause the plate(s) to crack. Additionally, since the upper dowel pins are also used as an oil galley, a massive oil leak is also possible. The OEM 20B is especially prone to this type of damage,  and with the price of the “thick” center plate near $1800us, preventing this type of damage pays for itself.

The Pineapple Racing Oil Pedestal Adapter is a stylish, Nickel plated rotor shaped adapter. It easily installs between the existing oil filter pedestal and the rear plate. It features a ¼”NPT port for an external oil line and an 1/8” NPT port for oil pressure or oil temperature.

Venturi Drive Super Sound Blow Off Valve – Release Type
The all new ribbed main body dissipates heat more effectively and the venturi shaped funnel creates a sharp dynamic sound.

Venturi Drive dump valves also feature “Dual Drive” for maximum response, a small port for low boost and a larger port for high boost.
The main purpose of the dump valves is to improve the response of the turbo by quickly releasing the boost pressure before the turbo stalls.

They are made from die cast polished aluminium with a brass piston and a rubber diaphragm, meaning they can easily cope with boost pressures up to 1.2 bar with the supplied spring.

There is an alternative hard spring for boost pressures above 1.2bar and also a soft spring available for very low boost applications.

The GReddy BOV FV is a new generation of blow off valve. The unique “Floating Valve” design incorporates a revised adjustable dual spring system, while maintaining the advantages of the previous models’ push valve structure and silicone diaphragm control. The improved design makes spring preload setting less dependent on the idle, while providing better response, increased valve travel, more air-flow and added resistance to premature valve lift under all conditions. Also maintained is a slimer CNC outlet with discharge ports to draws surrounding air to amplify the blow-off sound, however this can be replaced with optional re-circulation adapters in various sizes.

Mazda Factory Race (MFR) Rear Stationary Gear Bearing

Genuine Mazda Factory Race Part

Use in place of stock rear bearing. 3-window type. Recommended for any engine used at 8000 rpm and above. Increases oil flow to the inside of eccentric shaft and to rotors.

If you are installing this bearing in to a Manual RX-7 FD3s of 231ps RX-8 Rear Stationary Gear we would recommend getting an indexing groove cut in to the rear face of the stationary gear in order to locate and hold this bearing correctly. The location should be in the same place as that found on Auto Rear Stationary gears and those earlier then the FD3s. Stationary gears from the Automatic FD3s and RX-8 including the 192ps manual RX-8 should have this indexing groove in them already.

These bearings are special order only and can take up to 6 weeks for delivery. They are sometimes out of stock at Mazda HQ Japan so can take longer. we would recommend ordering your competition bearings early to avoid disappointment.

Mazda Factory Race (MFR) Rotor Bearing (Sold Individually)

The Mazda Factory Race (MFR) rotor bearings for all 12A & 13B engines are the best bearings available of engine operation near or above 8500 RPM. The rotor bearings are manufactured with a deep groove for additional oil storage and offer an additional .0005″ (approximate) clearance. These bearings can be used in 1973 and earlier engines by grinding off the indexing tab.

Competition bearings have 0.01 inch deeper oil groove and provide 0.0005 inch more clearance than stock bearings. Thinner overlay material improves bearing service life.

These bearings are special order only and can take up to 6 weeks for delivery. They are sometimes out of stock at Mazda HQ Japan so can take longer. we would recommend ordering your competition bearings early to avoid disappointment.

The Mazda 4.44 ratio ring and pinion set is suitable use on the following rotary applications: 1993-1995 Twin Turbo RX-7, on some model FD’s the factory fit final drive is the 4.3:1 ratio acceleration can be increased by swapping to the slight;y shorter 4.44:1 Gear Set.

Filler Neck Conversion for AST Removal on RX-7 FD

The Power FC is a complete, stand alone, total engine management system capable of handling virtually anything thrown in its path. From multiple point fuel and ignition control to boost settings, the Power FC is capable of accommodating even the most demanding performance enthusiasts.

The Power FC replaces the factory ECU and controls all vital engine parameters (Off road use only, no OBD-II). Installation is as easy as replacing the factory ECU. The factory engine harness does not need to be replaced and all critical accessories such as air conditioning continue to function. Since there is no need to upgrade ROM chips or modify ECU’s, the factory ECU can be kept by the original user. The Power FC also comes pre-programmed with several base maps.
