Comma 15w40 Mineral Oil

This is the standard stuff that we normally use on our services, offering a higher viscosity than the recommended oil, 15w40 will help protect the inside of your engine better especially the stationary gear bearings (a key weak point on the RX-8 when using 5w30)

This oil is supplied in a 5 liter can and should be enough for a oil change plug 1-1.5 liters spare for top ups.

We recommend 3000-6000mile (or 6 months) oil changes to keep your oil as clean as possible.

Goopy Apex seals have become renowned for their reliability by withstanding up to 50psi in Drag Racing and still not failing and have even withstood detonation that the Mazda Apex seal could only dream of.

This makes these High Performance Apex seals not only ideal for any N/A, Turbo or Supercharged RX-7 but also ANY standard or tuned REW or 13bt engine .

Also available for the RX-8 engines these seals can be included in your Essex Rotary engine rebuild upon request at a small additional cost.

Sold at a set of 6 complete seals these will easily replace the stock apex seals found in all series 4- series 8 RX-7 engines.

Goopy 2 mm apex seals are .075" (1.905mm) thick and you should be able to slide a .0015" feeler gauge into the rotor apex slot with a new apex seal in place.

Goopy Performance 13B 2 mm oversized apex seals measure .078" +/- .001" (1.981mm +/- 0.025mm). If your rotor slot measures .077 - .078", then you may benefit from our oversized 2 mm seals which will allow you to re-gain the .0015 suggested clearance.

If your gap with the seal in place measures .002-.005" it is still usable, but keep in mind that tighter clearances means greater sealing characteristics.

The Mazda Factory Race (MFR) rotor bearings for all 12A & 13B engines are the best bearings available of engine operation near or above 8500 RPM. The rotor bearings are manufactured with a deep groove for additional oil storage and offer an additional .0005" (approximate) clearance. These bearings can be used in 1973 and earlier engines by grinding off the indexing tab.

Competition bearings have 0.01 inch deeper oil groove and provide 0.0005 inch more clearance than stock bearings. Thinner overlay material improves bearing service life.

These bearings are special order only and can take up to 6 weeks for delivery. They are sometimes out of stock at Mazda HQ Japan so can take longer. we would recommend ordering your competition bearings early to avoid disappointment.

Genuine Mazda Factory Race Part
Use in place of stock rear bearing. 3-window type. Recommended for any engine used at 8000 rpm and above. Increases oil flow to the inside of eccentric shaft and to rotors.

If you are installing this bearing in to a Manual RX-7 FD3s of 231ps RX-8 Rear Stationary Gear we would recommend getting an indexing groove cut in to the rear face of the stationary gear in order to locate and hold this bearing correctly. The location should be in the same place as that found on Auto Rear Stationary gears and those earlier then the FD3s. Stationary gears from the Automatic FD3s and RX-8 including the 192ps manual RX-8 should have this indexing groove in them already.

These bearings are special order only and can take up to 6 weeks for delivery. They are sometimes out of stock at Mazda HQ Japan so can take longer. we would recommend ordering your competition bearings early to avoid disappointment.

    Pineapple Racing Solid Dowel Pins provide an easy, cost effective aid to hp and “ping” loads causing plate cracking or engine damage from loss of clearance from engine flex. Our super strong proprietary material has been meticulously machined to provide what we feel are the most accurate and consistently machined solid dowel pins on the market. The O.D. is accurate to 50 millionth’s! That’s 0.00005”. We “lightly” tapped one end for use with a Dowel Pin Puller.

    Replace just the lower dowel pins helps to insure your engine’s centerline remains true. It is a great update requiring no machining.

    Replace both lower and upper dowel pins for the maximum improvement. Replacing the upper dowel pins requires the installation of an external oil feed line to the front main oil galley to replace the OEM galley in the OEM dowel pins. Our Oil Pedestal Adapter kit makes this a simple job that can be done with simple hand tools and an electric drill.

    High horsepower and the shock loads from “ping” put a tremendous load against the rotor housings. The load deflects the rotor housings outwards, pushing the dowel pin with them. The dowel pins are retained by their fit into the cast iron plates. If the loads are too high, the upper dowel pin can cause the plate(s) to crack. Additionally, since the upper dowel pins are also used as an oil galley, a massive oil leak is also possible. The OEM 20B is especially prone to this type of damage,  and with the price of the “thick” center plate near $1800us, preventing this type of damage pays for itself.

    The Pineapple Racing Oil Pedestal Adapter is a stylish, Nickel plated rotor shaped adapter. It easily installs between the existing oil filter pedestal and the rear plate. It features a ¼”NPT port for an external oil line and an 1/8” NPT port for oil pressure or oil temperature.

This is Pineapple Racing's exclusive Heavy Duty Water Seal kit. Pineapple Racing tested these seals for over 7 years in numerous street and track cars before offering them to our customers. They have proven to be a significant upgrade over the stock water seals. Pineapple Racing use them in all their 5-year warranty motors.
Also, these seals are re-usable if you need to reopen the motor to freshen it, as long as the mileage is not too high or the engine too overheated. In other words, if you make a mistake and blow up your engine or perhaps improperly clearance the seals or whatever, these seals can be removed, allowed to "rest" for about 30 minutes and be reused when you put the engine back together. Stock water seals must be disposed of when freshening an engine, even with just a couple heat cycles.

The MSD 8.5 mm Super Conductor wire is the performance wire engineered from the inside out, the 8.5mm offers everything you have ever wanted in a wire; incredibly low resistance without electronic interference! In a single 12 In. length of Super Conductor wire there is only 40 to 50 ohms of resistance! That is the lowest resistance of any helically wound wire. To accomplish this, MSD use a copper alloy conductor due to it's great voltage carrying capabilities. The low resistance results in less loss of spark energy so more reaches the spark plug. The conductor is wound extremely tight around a special center core. So tight, that there is over 40 Ft. of conductor wrapped into a single foot of plug wire. This winding procedure, combined with a ferro-magnetic impregnated center core, produces an extremely effective electro magnetic interference (EMI) choke.

The Racing Beat Mini Power Pulse Presilencer is designed specifically to replace the Heat Exchanger on 1979-1980 RX-7s to either provide a quieter exhaust with a more pleasant character or because the original Heat Exchanger has failed.

This presilencer is 10.625 inches long and 4-inches in outside diameter. The inside diameter, 2 inches, is a straight-through perforated-core design. The end caps are .375-inch thick and fitted with 12mm studs.

The inlet end mates to the Heat Exchanger flange at the rear of our header, while the outlet end mates to a catalytic converter flange. Inside, the perforated core is made of stainless steel and is packed with stainless steel wool.

This small presilencer is also ideal for use in the design of a custom exhaust system when space concerns does allow the placement of a longer presilencer. Multiple units can be installed in sequence as need to meet your sound level needs.

This Street Port Exhaust System Center Section for the 1979-85 RX-7 12A & 13B (except GSL-SE 6-Port) is the same component that comes with Racing Beat's Complete Street Port Exhaust system.

This center section is designed to bolt-up to the Racing Beat Road Race Header and is compatible for use on the 1979-85 RX-8 12A & 13B (except GSL-SE 6-Port). This connecting pipe features two 2" tubes that feed into a pair of 20" long Power Pulse Presilencers to moderate the exhaust noise.

This silencer is a large diameter high-flow silencer  designed for street ported engines as well as the stock 1981-1982 RX-7 chassis. It consists of two 1.75-inch tubes that collect into one 2.375-inch tube. It is slightly louder than our other Power Pulse silencers.

This Power Pulse Main Silencer assembly interchanges exactly with the stock RX-7 muffler on the 1981-82 chassis years. The main body of the silencer measures 8 inches in diameter and 18 inches in length. The heavy-duty construction, both internally and externally, ensures a long life. Gaskets are not included, but are available separately.

Racing Beat offers a complete RX-7 high-performance exhaust system for the 1979-85 12A RX-7 (w/manual transmission) which includes our Header/Collector, a Power-Pulse Presilencer, and our legendary Power Pulse main muffler.

These components attach to all stock mounting points, and include all necessary gaskets and hangers. The only component not included is the factory connecting pipe that mounts just ahead of the main muffler. There is no horsepower to be gained by replacing this pipe with a larger diameter assembly. If your factory connecting pipe needs replacing, we suggest you contact your local Mazda dealer or muffler shop.

These exhaust systems offer excellent horsepower gains when you require a muffled exhaust system for your stock-ported engine or your standard RX-7 FB.

The actual horsepower increase depends on which year/model stock RX-7 exhaust system you are comparing to, but a 22% increase at 7000 rpm is typical. Thanks to the combined efforts of the Power-Pulse Presilencer and the Power Pulse Main muffler, the exhaust noise is only slightly higher than stock, with a very low, pleasant character.

Our Racing Beat-designed, "Long Primary" Street Port Complete RX-7 Exhaust System is designed for any 1979-85 RX-7 with a 12A street-ported engine. Designed specifically to optimize the performance benefit of a ported rotary engine, this RX-7 exhaust system will provide the maximum power output possible from an aftermarket RX-7 exhaust system. While louder than the stock system, the dual resonated centre section offers maximum exhaust gas flow and scavenging while reducing sound output to a modest level.

Offered as a packaged set, this kit consists of a Road Race Header, the Street Port Centre Section, and a high flow Power Pulse Main muffler.

The Long Primary system typically adds 5% or more horsepower over a standard Short Primary system on a street ported engine, especially at higher RPMs. This system can also be used on non-ported engines with good results. It is strictly bolt-on, with no welding required. These complete "bolt-on" systems come complete with all required mounting hardware and gaskets. Since this is intended for racing applications, there is no provision for an oxygen sensor on this system.

Racing Beat's dyno-proven Power Pulse Air Filter Assembly, for all 1971-85 Stock Carburettor Bodies, is designed specifically for performance. While the assembly uses the same Racing Beat foam air filter element that fits the stock canister, the design of the Power Pulse canister both improves air flow into the carburettor and limits the introduction of dirt particles into the filter element.

The spun aluminium canister pieces are powder-coated white for added durability. There is no provision for emission control valve hose/air pump hose connections on this assembly; however, there is a position available to connect a crankcase breather tube if needed.

The Racing Beat-designed Foam Air Filter Element for all 1971-85 Rotaries consists of a polyurethane foam over a metal screen form that interchanges exactly with the stock element. The foam element can be re-used by periodically cleaning in solvent and re-oiling.

While the element offers no significant increase in air flow when compared to a clean, stock paper element, as the paper element collects dirt its air flow capacity decreases dramatically while the foam element is nearly unaffected.

Racing Beat's High Performance Holley Intake System Kit has proven over the years to be an extremely reliable carburetor upgrade, with very "streetable" engine smoothness and drivability characteristics. Fuel economy is comparable to the stock carburetor under similar driving conditions.

Complete Ready-to-Install Kit
One of most significant benefits of this complete ready-to-go kit is that is takes all the guesswork, trial-and-error, and frustration out of attempting to assembly your own intake kit! We've taken over 40 years of our rotary engine experience and know-how and combined it for you in this complete, ready-to-install kit. Our intake kits has been thoroughly developed and tested using our in-house engine dyno to ensure maximum performance for each specific engine application.

Rotary-tuned By Racing Beat
The heart of each intake system is a performance-proven 4-barrel Holley carburetor. Depending on the requirements of each specific application, the carburetor is disassembled by Racing Beat's carburetor technicians then reworked, retuned, and reconfigured specifically for use with a designated rotary engine application. This process is not a simple "re-jetting" project, but a complex series of steps requiring machining, drilling and reconfiguring of the main and metering bodies, adjustment of the float bowls, and complete replacement of all jets. Each application has been fully developed and tested on our in-house dyno facility to ensure maximum performance.

Each comprehensive package includes a Racing Beat cast-aluminum high-rise intake manifold with a vacuum source for power brakes, a Racing Beat-modified Holley carburetor (465 CFM), foam air cleaner and canister assembly, throttle and metering oil pump linkages, and appropriate gaskets. All emissions control fittings are eliminated. This carburetor includes a vacuum-operated choke.

Performance
When installed on a 1976-78 RX-3 or a 1979-85 RX-7 12A engine, this kit increases engine output by approximately 20 HP with the stock exhaust system. However, for increased performance gains we strongly recommend the installation of an exhaust header/presilencer/Power Pulse Muffler combo (10+ HP) or an open exhaust (15+ HP) - resulting in total performance gains of between 30-35 HP depending on your specific intake/exhaust configuration..

The carburetors and manifolds used in these Holley kits are also available separately in the "Holley Components" section.

Note: Installation of this kit requires use of a high delivery fuel pump kit delivering 6 psi @ 20 gph.

Take full control of your electric cooling fan with the Mishimoto Adjustable Fan Controller Kit! This kit is applicable for any 12v electric fan and includes all necessary components for installation. This kit can be purchased with a probe-style temperature sensor or with a 1/8" NPT thread-in sensor to fit the needs of any project. The Bosch UEGO sensor gives the controller its speed and accuracy. The Bosch 4.9 LSU sensor used in the 30-4110 AEM Wideband UEGO AFR Controller Gauge has a faster light off time and draws less current than the 4.2 LSU sensor used with AEM’s 30-4100 Wideband UEGO Controller Gauge, which will be superseded to the 30-4110 gauge in August, 2014. The 4.9 LSU sensor features the same fuel compatibility as the 4.2 LSU and NEVER requires free-air calibration when used with AEM’s 30-4110 Wideband UEGO AFR Gauge. The 30-4110’s 4.9 LSU sensor uses a different connector than the connector used with the 4.2 LSU sensors included with the original 30-4100 gauge controller. The sensors are not interchangeable between the two gauge controllers in any way, including changing connectors on the gauges.

WHAT IS FREE-AIR CALIBRATION?
Some of our competitors require that you frequently perform a free-air calibration procedure to calibrate their O2 sensors. This process involves removing the sensor from the bung while still connected to the controller device, then waving the sensor in the air so it can read atmospheric O2 levels. We use Bosch 4.9 LSU sensors in our wideband controllers. Our sensors are individually laboratory-calibrated by Bosch and never require free air calibration!

CAN I CHANGE THE AEM UEGO SENSOR’S CONNECTOR?
No. There is a laser-etched, calibrated resistor in the sensor’s connector body. This resistor is specifically created for the exact sensor that it is attached to. Modifying this will invalidate the sensor’s output.

Water/methanol injection for gas engines is a proven means for effectively reducing engine inlet air temperatures and suppressing harmful detonation on forced induction and high compression naturally aspirated (NA) race engines. This allows racers to reliably increase boost and advance ignition timing—without using high-octane racing fuel—for power gains of up to 20%. AEM’s Water/Methanol Injection Systems utilize the most robust hardware combined with more advanced features than any other comparably priced water/methanol system.

The on-demand progressive controller in AEM’s Boost Dependent PN30-3302 tank-less Water/Methanol Injection kit bases injection flow on manifold pressure using an on-board MAP sensor (up to 35 PSI of boost) to ensure the proper amount of water/methanol injection at all points along an engine’s power curve.

AEM’s engineers spent extensive time developing the controller’s flow control strategy for a more linear flow output delivery. This means that the flow delivery better matches an engine’s need for water/methanol injection, which further optimizes charge air cooling and detonation control.

The new controller design features large, turn-resistant knobs and larger numbering to easily set accurate start and full activation points, with covered status LED and test buttons for added splash resistance. A plug is integrated into the controller housing for mating to the redesigned wiring harness’s positive-lock connector. The Boost Dependent controller housing has a molded-in, barbed nipple to accept a boost hose and a wiring legend on the back, integrated fuse and molded mounting tabs.

However, the safety issues are very real and far outweigh any perceived benefit of running high concentrations of methanol.

Evans Prep Fluid is specifically formulated to hygroscopically absorb any water-based coolant remaining in the cooling system after initial drain. This is the standard stuff that we normally use on our services, offering a higher viscosity than the recommended oil, 15w40 will help protect the inside of your engine better especially the stationary gear bearings (a key weak point on the RX-8 when using 5w30)

This oil is supplied in a 5 liter can and should be enough for a oil change plug 1-1.5 liters spare for top ups.

We recommend 3000-6000mile (or 6 months) oil changes to keep your oil as clean as possible.
