The Racing Beat RX-8 manifold is constructed using 100% stainless steel for superior quality, performance and appearance. Exclusive cast stainless-steel mounting flange has been designed to allow the smooth transition of the exhaust gas flow from the engine to the primary tubing. Incorporated into the flange design are critical emission control air passages that were included on the OEM flange design.

These small passages allow air to be pumped into the exhaust ports to aid in more efficient catalytic converter function.

The Racing Beat manifold does not remove any catalytic converters, and is equipped with an oxygen sensor fitting and retains all emissions control functionality.

The Racing Beat Manifold utilizes 1.75” OD, 14 gauge (.083"), mandrel-bent, 304 stainless steel tubing and features an exclusive Racing Beat engine-to-header flange. All required mounting hardware, an outlet gasket, and instructions are included.

Comma 15w40 Mineral Oil

This is the standard stuff that we normally use on our services, offering a higher viscosity than the recommended oil, 15w40 will help protect the inside of your engine better especially the stationary gear bearings (a key weak point on the RX-8 when using 5w30)

This oil is supplied in a 5 liter can and should be enough for a oil change plug 1-1.5 liters spare for top ups.

We recommend 3000-6000mile (or 6 months) oil changes to keep your oil as clean as possible.

Racing Beat offers their extremely popular REVi Intake System for all RX-8 applications. Designed to offer performance improvements without sacrificing drivability, the Racing Beat intake system is the final result of hundreds of hours of dyno test sessions and on-road testing.

The major components of the REVi Intake System include: an OEM style air box assembly, custom-designed K&N air filter unit, aluminum mass air flow sensor tube, and a tuned-length air inlet horn. Unlike many of the aftermarket intake systems on the market, the Racing Beat intake system retains one of the important mesh screens to aid with the even distribution of airflow across the mass air sensor. The inclusion of this screen minimizes the possibility of “rough idle” issues that may occur if both stock screens are eliminated.

Working with the design team at K&N Engineering, a high capacity air filter was developed that allowed us to position a tuned-length intake horn inside the filter body. This filter design allowed us to fine-tune the length of the air horn to maximize the performance potential. We have noted that many aftermarket intake systems for the RX-8 incorporate a large air filter, which is then connected to the intake manifold with a length of plastic or metal tubing. In many cases, the size of the filter that has been selected will dictate the length of tubing required, severely limiting the critical tuning importance of the air intake tube!

This starter motor is the equivalent of the 3rd version of the Starter that Mazda released the N3Z1 delivering typical cranking speeds of around 250-280 rpm, this starter is the perfect upgrade if your original starter motor is showing signs of age and delivery low cranking speeds subsequently causing your engine to flood.

The drivability will be like a stock clutch. Pedal efforts will be slightly higher because of the higher clamp loads. All of Exedy clutch discs have high capacity spring center dampers to reduce the drive train shock and impact.

      This Stage 1 Clutch kit kit can be installed in to a 192ps RX-8, however it will require the installation of a Racing Beat flywheel and counterweight.

The Mazda factory lines combine both rigid and flexible tubing, and include ten (10) mid-hose connector fittings. Replacing this complex combination of hosing and connectors with a simplified performance-based set eliminates possible areas of leakage during racing and high output applications. As the old saying goes, "Simple is better!" Produced in-house at Racing Beat using Earl's Auto-Flex stainless steel braid-protected synthetic rubber hose and featuring an inner liner of synthetic rubber, including partial cover of stainless steel braid embedded into the liner during manufacturing. The hose liner is then bonded to a outer protective sheath of stainless steel wire braid. Precision-machined aluminum Auto-Seal and Swivel-Seal hose ends ensure a secure and superior seal. Each line is pressure tested by Racing Beat at the end of the assembly process. Unlike earlier rotary applications, replacement of the oil lines on the RX-8 application requires substantial labor effort and is best undertaken when the engine has been removed from the vehicle. Although more challenging due to limited access, this project can be undertaken with engine in the vehicle, just allow adequate time to complete the process. With the engine in the vehicle this is an involved project that can't be rushed!

It has become an increasing problem as these cars age that the factory oil lines are corroding and leaking oil, the usual point for these line to start leaking is just in front of the front wheels behind the wheel arch liners. Depending on severity of the leak this could cause anything from an engine failure due to loosing your oil to an accident as of covers your front wheels. The Racing Beat lines eliminate these points of corrosion and will not require replacement again.

Racing Beat offers a full 304-stainless steel race pipe for RX-8 (for racing applications only).

Weighing aprox 4.5Kg. This mandrel-bent 3" OD racing pipe is a direct bolt-on replacement for the stock catalytic converter section. This pipe utilizes a genuine OEM rear mounting flange for a secure fit to the stock (or an aftermarket) exhaust system.(many other decats require new shorter joint springs or modification to the existing springs)

The race pipe is equipped with a sensor fitting for the oxygen sensor. (Note: Placement of the sensor in the pipe will cause the "check engine" light to be illuminated, but performance and engine systems will not be affected.) Removal of the OE catalytic converter/presilencer section will result in a noticeably louder exhaust tone.

Racing Beat designed coil springs are suitable for street or racing applications. Designed to offer a modest reduction in ride height, these linear rate springs interchange exactly with the stock springs.

These RX-8 springs will provide a front and rear drop of approximately 25mm (1/2-inch) drop both front and rear. A modest spring rate increase of approximately 20% will provide a performance improvement without sacrificing ride quality.

Jim Mederer, Racing Beat’s co-founder and chief engineer, shares his thoughts on designing Racing Beat’s suspension springs:

“Springs are very much a matter of opinion, I adjust ride height and spring rate based more than any other thing, my taste. We won't excessively lower a car to obtain a "look". First, the car will hit the bump rubbers far too often and that makes the car unpredictable in its handling, also it makes it harsh and it is very hard on suspension components causing them to potentially fail. We therefore make relatively small changes in ride height, usually less than 1", depending on the application. We adjust that based in part on what we perceive the best way of adjusting for good handling.

Our primary goal in lowering the car is handling, and from our point a view, improved appearance is a side benefit. We don’t lower the car for appearance, and then take what comes in handling. We are very cautious to not excessively lower the car such that it will cause perceived problems either in safety or unreasonable changes in ride comfort."

By now its well known that a non-resonated catalytic converter pipe on the RX-8 can produce a overwhelmingly loud exhaust and cause "drone" in the cabin at motorway speeds, but if you require a modest, quieter exhaust tone, then the Racing Beat dual resonated pipe is your answer. Designed to provide the ultimate combination of performance AND sound, this pipe is sure to be a hit with RX-8 owners.

Racing Beat offers a full 304-stainless steel catalytic converter replacement pipe with dual resonators for RX-8 racing applications. Fitted with two (2) specially designed resonator units specifically for the RX-8 chassis. Both our resonated and non-resonated pipe versions are a direct bolt-on replacement for the stock catalytic converter section. Our replacement pipes utilize a genuine OEM rear mounting flange for a secure fit to the stock (or an aftermarket) exhaust system. Each replacement pipe is equipped with a sensor fitting for the oxygen sensor.

Important: Whilst this is a perfectly safe modification to normal aspirated RX-8's, If your engine has a Turbocharger or a Supercharger fitted, fitting this de-cat pipe will make the exhaust gasses escape more freely and could increase the boost level causeing the engine to detonate with out the ECU being remapped.

This blanking plate is designed for use on both OEM and aftermarket exhaust manifolds in order to block off the opening left when removing the Secondary Air Injection System typically when running a Decat.

When installing the Essex Rotary blanking plate you will need to use the existing metal gasket and fasteners to hold it in place.

We do not recommend the removal of the secondary air injection system if you are still running a catalytic converter.

The Cusco Anti Roll Bars replace the factory ARB, (if equipped) and uses the factory mounting locations.  The Cusco ARB will dramatically reduce body roll since its stiffness is greater than the factory bar or if the vehicle is not equipped with one.  The larger diameter and steel strength bar give the Cusco bar more resistance against torsion, which helps keep the vehicle stabilized during cornering and reduces weight transfer.

The Cusco Anti Roll Bars replace the factory ARB, (if equipped) and uses the factory mounting locations.  The Cusco ARB will dramatically reduce body roll since its stiffness is greater than the factory bar or if the vehicle is not equipped with one.  The larger diameter and steel strength bar give the Cusco bar more resistance against torsion, which helps keep the vehicle stabilized during cornering and reduces weight transfer.

This kit includes replacement rubber bushings and new clamps if needed

Essex Rotary recommend replacing your droplinks at the same time as your ARB as many of the OEM links are very difficult to remove in our experience, this is why we have bundled the drop links in with this great package.

The turbo kit is set to run 5 psi out of the box. This is a safe boost level. With other fuel system support and engine modification, the turbo is good to run up to 20 psi with a boost controller. The E-manage comes pre-programmed. GReddy claims 60 rear wheel HP gain from the turbo kit out of the box. 60 rear wheel horsepower was acheived on Greddy's test cars. The actual horsepower will vary from car to car. Further tuning of the E-Manage Ultimate with the E-manage laptop software may result in improved HP gain.

Essex Rotary recommend this kit is professionally installed and tunes but to the nature of converting an N/A RX-8 to Turbo. some applications may require revision of the original installation instructions.
